St. John has an active Parish Life. We usually start the year getting rid of the winter doldrums by organizing a themed progressive dinner. There is an Ash Wednesday soup and salad dinner before the evening service and an Easter Breakfast in between services. We’ve had Irish dancers at our St. Patrick’s Day corned beef and cabbage luncheon and delicious cakes celebrating confirmations and graduations. We begin each Sunday school year with a Rally Day and luncheon after church. We wrap up the year with our annual “Hanging of the Greens” luncheon and the Women’s Salad luncheon and Ornament Exchange.

Over the summer we have Thursday nights at Quigley’s where each ministry takes a turn on being there and anyone else from the congregation can show up for food or just fun! Sometimes we have golf outings, picnics, movie nights, trips to plays or the Christkindlmarket – whenever someone gets inspired we try to take it on!

Our congregation likes to greet visitors and share fellowship after the service each Sunday. We have coffee, punch and dessert while we share and enjoy each others company.
