The music ministry at St. John Church includes two choirs, the adult Chancel Choir and a children’s Big Kid’s Choir.  The music staff consists of Music director, Rev. Wendy Larson,  and organist/pianist Kim Johnson.  Special music is an important part of worship and is provided by choirs as well as soloists, ensembles and instrumentalists.  Music of varying styles is presented including traditional anthems, spirituals and more modern religious songs. 

 

The mission of the choir is to encourage the congregation’s singing.  Along with our new organ and some newer hymns, there is musical appeal for all.  All who love to sing are welcome to join the choir and “Make a Joyful Noise”.  Worship is a celebration at St. John and music is used to enhance that mood.
